The $10 million addition of the 500-seat auditorium that was completed in May not only satisfies the needs of the congregation, but was designed to serve as a resource for the entire community. The new auditorium also serves as a dynamic venue for student ministries and midweek services.
The goal was for the building to blend in with the existing campus with a lobby built in a manner to be welcoming and allowing congregants to interact before and after services, with a café part of the amenities. The additional classrooms support a range of programs such as Essentials, Discover, and Celebrate Recovery, providing space for continued spiritual growth and community outreach.. The flexible layouts are conducive to accommodating a variety of needs. Advanced lighting, audiovisual components and acoustics were integrated into the build. Open sightlines and natural light make for a welcoming atmosphere. The project enhances the church’s ability to serve its members and expands its footprint in the Vacaville community.
